European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen started her recent speech at the Beyond Growth Conference with the following words: "A growth model centered on fossil fuels is simply obsolete. This assessment has been confirmed, time and again. The recent IPCC report is just the latest reminder that we need to decarbonise our economies as quickly as possible”.

French Minister of Economy Bruno le Maire announced that the French government planned to release half a billion euros for a "green industry" tax credit aimed at supporting technologies dedicated to decarbonization.

Florida governor signed into law a bill preventing state officials from investing public money to promote environmental, social and governance goals, and prohibiting ESG bond sales.

French President Macron called for a “European regulatory break” on environmental constraints, in order to help the industry meet the standards.
