France's Say on Climate amendment did not make it through the final vote in Parliament. It would have forced companies to disclose climate plans to shareholders every three years and require annual shareholder approval.

Annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Morocco last week focused on the bank’s efforts to reform its spending and increase lending to help combat climate change.

European Commission plans on delaying sector-specific mandatory sustainability disclosures and sustainability reporting for companies outside the EU. This announcement was part of the 2024 Commission Work Program listing the work items for the coming year.
 
European Parliament voted bill to include 50,000 companies in the mandatory European reporting framework by January 2024. “It signals the transition from political debate to practical implementation for these new rules” said Eelco van der Enden, CEO of GRI
